Falaise, birthplace of William the Conqueror, is the cradle of the Anglo-Norman dynasty. Its castle, now restored, consists of two square 12th century keeps, emblems of the Norman power and of a round tower built in the 13th century under Philip Augustus. Guided tour in French or English on weekends, public holidays and school holidays ; every day in July and August.
