GRANDCAMP-MAISY

This German battery, forgotten for the past 60 years, was an integral part of a military zone. Opening fire on the liberating troops and covering Utah and Omaha beaches, the 5th and 2nd American Rangers' final assault on the 9th of June 1944 was to last 5 long hours. Visit the 1.5 km of trenches, tunnels, six 155mm artillery emplacements and other underground constructions which can now be seen.
