Musée de la Batterie de Merville
MERVILLE-FRANCEVILLE-PLAGE
A priority D-Day target according to the Allied high command. The Merville artillery battery was neutralised by the 9th British Parachute Battalion. Within a preserved site covering several hectares, the Association de la Batterie de Merville offers an educational tour, including a visit of 4 bunkers transformed into museographical displays and a legendary plane that participated in the landing operation.
