Many a renowned champion was born in Calvados: trotters: Fandango, Abo Volo, Lutin d'Isigny; galloping horses: Belmont, Le Pacha or Sagamix (all of them winners of the Arc de Triomphe).
Sport horses, are also on the agenda with international champions such as Quito de Baussy (European and world jumping champion ridden by Eric Navet) or Quidam de Revel, today the world's leading French stallion with descendants in most sport horse studbooks.
