Calvados' grassy tracks and competition grounds have enabled, over countless weekends of competition, the talent and the obstinacy of many an international champion, horses and riders alike, to be brought to into the limelight. Eric Navet and Quito de Baussy, world jumping champions in 1990 in Stockholm, Eric Levallois and Diamant de Semilly, world team champions in Jerez en 2002...Others have also won fame at the highest competitive level: Dominique d'Esmée in dressage events, Michel Hécard, André and Annick Chenu in jumping events ... and so many others ...
