All year round, the finest specialities from Calvados are honoured at the occasion of traditional and popular fairs. The cider fair, the scallop fair, the Andouille faire... all of them offering an excellent opportunity to initiate you to Normandy's traditional gastronomy and country produce.

Cambremer AOC Produce Fair - From 28 to 29 April 2012

A regional event which, over the years, has become a rendezvous not to be missed where Normandy's 12 AOC quality label products are promoted and their producers can meet and exchange.


Pont l'Evêque Fair - From 11 to 13 May 2012

On the agenda: cycling race, gastronomy market, Confrérie du Pont l'Évêque parade and, of course, the Pont l'Évêque competition. Cheeses are tasted and marked.

 

Livarot Cheese Fair - From 04 to 05 August 2012

Among the fair's highlights, enjoy the confrérie de livarot parade and the very-much awaited and appreciated biggest livarot eater contest!!


Honfleur Shrimp and Prawn fair - From 29 to 30 September 2012

Shrimp is the local speciality, referred to as the "petite grise", and is by far the queen of the fair. It is enjoyed and savoured throughout the weekend, when amateurs and professionals also compete together in the prawn scaling contest... 

 

Villers sur Mer Scallop Fair - From 27 to 28 october 2012

An event not to be missed, with over 50,000 visitors each year. Scallops and seafood in general are honoured throughout the event.
Over 150 exhibitors fill the streets of Villers sur Mer along with folk groups, confrérie parades, tasting sessions, concerts... 

 

Grand Market and Cider Fair in Beuvron en Auge - October 2012

Every autumn, when the apple harvest is coming to an end and provisions are stored for the winter, Beuvron organises its Grand Market. Whilst in the local hall, artists and skilled craftsmen present their creations and exceptional old costumes, the village is literally invaded.


Vire Traditional Chitterling Sausage Fair - From 01 to 04 November 2012

Over 50 exhibitors with country produce from throughout France, cookery demonstrations, and the confrérie de la véritable Andouille de Vire, not forgetting the Pig Cry contest.


Taste of the sea festival in Port en Bessin - From 10 to 11 november 2012

Port-en-Bessin is organising the 9th edition of its "Goût du Large" on the 10th and 11th of November: two festive days on a traditionally maritime note.


Grandcamp Maisy Scallop fair - From 01 to 02 December 2012
